Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning and Analysis / Forecasting and Budgeting:
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Analyze financial performance against key business metrics and provide insights to drive decision making.
• Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with department heads to gather information for budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Assist in the development of financial models to support long-term financial planning.
2. Financial Reporting:
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Consolidate financial statements and communicate financial results to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
3. Data Analysis:
• Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data to support strategic initiatives.
• Develop financial models for forecasting, trend analysis, and scenario planning.
4. Treasury:
• Monitor daily cash positions and forecast daily / weekly / monthly cash needs
• Execute daily cash management activities, including funding transfers and liquidity management
• Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions
• Evaluate banking services and recommend changes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Monitor debt covenants and ensure compliance
• Provide senior management with insights into cash flow trends and potential risks.
5. Ad Hoc Analysis:
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis as requested by management.
• Address specific financial inquiries and provide timely, accurate, and relevant information.
6. Compliance and Audit:
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
Qualifications:
• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA or CFA.
• 8-10 years of experience in financial analysis or related roles.
• Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Experience in handling facilities with UAE banks is preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. (Power BI experience is a plus)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
• Effective communication skills to convey complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
